QUILTING: Spectacular Savanna

The animals of the African Savanna are amazing and iconic and you will have so much fun turning them into patchwork blocks! This 64” x 84” sampler quilt is made using conventional patchwork techniques. All pieces are square or rectangular except the rhino’s horn, which is made using a cutting guide and a shortcut piecing technique similar to Lisa the Unicorn’s horn or Norm and Nanette’s hats.
The blocks are made using a combination of fat quarters and fat eighths and the pattern includes a detailed fabric guide. You can use the guide to duplicate the patterns fabrics exactly, or to plan a fantastic fabric combination of your own.
We will use time in the first class to choose and organize your fabrics.
