Price Quote Policy

Major technological advancements in the sewing machine industry in the last few years have caused most of the major brands (BERNINA, BROTHER, JANOME, etc.) to adopt new policies dealing with “NO” pricing on the internet and “NO” sale prices given over the phone. Although this makes life sometimes difficult for our staff, and also our customers, the reasoning behind these policies makes sense.

Today’s sewing machines are much more sophisticated than the old straight stitch/zig-zag machine of yesteryear. Classes and technical support oftentimes become an afterthought in the buying process and have, unfortunately, become a major source of frustration to the buyer when not available at a later date.

We understand your time is very important to you and would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience. For those of you who really prefer to let your fingers do the shopping…call around and see what you can find.  There are probably plenty of dealers who do not read the agreements they sign (or just don’t care) and are willing to quote a sales price over the phone in hopes of not having to service you as if you were a regular customer. If this is the case… NO PROBLEM!  Just come into one of our four locations with whatever quotes you’ve found and we’ll take care of the price for you!

Due to our agreement with BERNINA, we (and this also means every other dealer) are not allowed to advertise prices or sell new or used machines via the Internet or outside of our selling area. This follows our policy of hands-on and personal customer service. However, we do invite you to visit any of our locations where everything in the store is available to you!

Buyer beware! When looking on the Internet for a sewing machine or serger, consider the following:

Most manufacturer's warranties do not provide funds for reimbursement for any other dealer to fully service a sewing machine (WARRANTY LABOR CHARGES) purchased from another store. Your warranty is only good with the dealer you’ve purchased from.

The above statement also relates to lessons and instruction on the use of your sewing machine. Instruction will not be covered if purchased elsewhere.

DON’T BUY ON PRICE ALONE! A lower price from a dealer who discounts typically translates into much lower quality of service. The more experienced dealer who specializes in Bernina sewing machines will be able to provide superior service and lessons.
